Not even the rains could dissuade hundreds of revelers as they braved the downpour on New Year’s Eve to troop and witness gospel singer Ephraim Mutalange offload his eighth studio album titled Teti Ntwishike.
Various notable gospel artists including upstarts like Esther, Njamba and the Burning Bush Ministries praise team shared the stage with Ephraim to send agog the crowd that thronged Mulugunshi International Conference Centre.
Known as the Son of Africa, Ephraim, who has so far recorded over six albums, all of which have been successful with messages of hope and love, proved why he has remained one of the top gospel crooners.
With his charming voice, Ephraim kept his music followers on their toes while ushering them in the new year in style.
The Teti Ntwishike album added to previous studio projects which include Miracle Child (2001), Limo limo Ndanaka (2003), Lesa Talekelesha (2005), Mungu Mwenyewe (2006) Favour is My Name (2008), Acha Kulia (2010) and Lekeni Iloke (2011).
Top charters from the previous projects include hits such as This Life, Lesafye and You are the Fire.
Ephraim in his early days sold various merchandise on the street to try and make a living in Kalulushi Town.
Realising he could sing, his talent was soon discovered, but he refused to sing secular music but felt his calling in the industry was gospel tunes.
The Temba babe singer has travelled the world singing and sharing his testimony and has won awards locally and internationally including best Male Singer and Best Male Performer.
Ephraim sings and performs in three different languages such as English, Bemba and Swahili, captivating his fans in several African and western countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom and the USA.
