The Zambian music industry has lost a talented gospel musician on Potipher Mpundu, whose uplifting music has come to be loved by many.
Potipher who died on Sunday 7th August 2016. Was a gifted musician who used his incredible talent to preach the word of God.
His music career dates back to 1998 when he professionally started to sing in a music group called Potipher and the soldiers.
Potipher’s hit song Ambuye Mvelani uncovered his music potential which opened opportunities, making him excel remarkably in music.
Because of his talented vocals, he featured with a number of Zambian gospel artists like Kings “Malembe Malembe” Mumbi, Christine and gospel group Vessels of Praise, to mention but a few.
Born in 1972, Potipher was a dazzling singer who released three albums and was currently working on his fourth album before he died.
The talented artist was put to rest on Tuesday 9th August 2016 at Leopards Hill Cemetery in Lusaka. He is survived by a wife and one child. He is gone but certainly his music will forever be remembered by the many people who were inspired by his songs.
